The Australian Bureau of Statistics commissioned Gray Puksand to deliver a new approach to its workspace in Hobart. After conducting a nationwide assessment of the present premises, a strategic direction was agreed with the Australian Bureau of Statistics to modernise their workspaces.

Hobart was the first of these projects and Gray Puksand provided a light, bright, organic solution, moving away from the traditional workspace arrangements that stifle communication.

The $3.5million project provides for inherent flexibility for spikes in staff numbers caused by the census, yet delivers an environment that feels like home during regular staffing periods.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics have confirmed that this approach will be
adopted in the delivery of their subsequent Australian sites.
