Epping Views Primary School was designed around a series of culturally significant nature
reserves located within a new residential subdivision north of Melbourne. Individual learning
precincts were developed around the largest of these reserves and positioned onsite to establish pedestrian paths and view lines within and through the buildings to established landscape elements.
A series of innovative, spacious and flexible learning settings has been designed to allow the facilities to adapt to the changing enrolment needs of the new school community as it grows. This project is the outcome of a series of ongoing investigations into the changing needs of 21C educational environments and reflects a dramatic departure from traditional classrooms and corridors.
