Set within a rural farming community, an existing Primary
School and Secondary College on two adjoining sites will be
refurbished and partly demolished to make way for the
establishment of a new P-12 College. A new landscape
master plan will see both sites integrated with a central wetlands
and activity trail.
Existing Primary School facilities on site are to be transformed
into modern, spacious and flexible age specific learning
communities with purposeful activity areas, zones for group
collaboration and distributed staff workspaces.
A new 1200sqm Discovery and Technology Centre adjoining the
main campus is planned around a central Design Studio, flexible collaborative spaces, a senior study centre and distributed online resources. These facilities will provide an integrated and complementary range of Technical, Creative
and Science based activity spaces which will allow the school to dramatically expand their specialist curriculum. By utilizing a redundant roadway on site to create an interactive wetlands
and nature trail, the new Discovery Centre will be provided with strong links to a broad range of outdoor activity spaces and a diverse range of established landscape settings.
