Gray Puksand was engaged by RACQ to design, document and oversee the construction phases of the Media Relations Department. This is the second workspace Gray Puksand has completed at RACQ’s Brisbane headquarters and follows the organisation’s decision four years earlier to embark on a new workplace strategy to provide a better collaborative and agile working environment to support their values.
Our team developed the Level 12 plan to include a ‘Town Hall’ or collaborative space where staff can gather for work and play or congregate for announcements. The brief also required the Media Relations Department to be directly connected to RACQ’s Level 13 workspace and so a central staircase was inserted into the floor plate.
A unique aspect of this project was the need to understand how RACQ staff prepared for live broadcasts out to newsrooms and how their soundproof recording studio and media equipment was used to prepare content.
