The office building is situated within a new master plan that incorporates a series of buildings around a central park-like setting.
As the first new building at the park, it sets the precedent for all future developments. The design starts with a simple building skin that is manipulated to create more interest. On the eastern facade this skin peels back, forming a canopy that reveals the office’s main entry.
Rather than burying the required fire stair within the building, it is expressed along the western facade as a ‘trench’ running on a diagonal.
This trench provides opportunities for external breakout space from the tenancy and sun shading to the western windows. The floor plate utilises a side core configuration which provides Schneider with a wide and flexible expanse for their fitout.
