A unique, locally sensitive office solution for urban design and planning firm Urbis.

Urbis’ new Perth location takes advantage of an unusual floor plate design to deliver an office taking advantage of sweeping views of the iconic Swan River, whilst delivering a functional, light-filled and equitable workspace.

Blackbutt flooring in the reception was cut and laid at angles to resemble the sweeps and bends of the river outside, culminating in a ‘billabong’ at the reception desk and flowing up to the ceiling.

Urbis commissioned indigenous artist J.D. Penangke to create topographical artworks of WA landscapes for the reception and meeting areas.

Collaborative working areas, with sit-to-stand desks and other amenities for creative work are defined not by walls, but by carpet, materials, layout and colour.
