Robotics and Advanced <br> Manufacturing Centre

Gray Puksand were commissioned by TAFE Queensland and the Department of Youth Justice, Employment, Small Business and Training to develop their new Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Centre (RAMC) at the Eagle Farm campus.

This new facility will feature modern, innovative learning spaces for the teaching of existing and emerging technologies including renewable energy creation and storage, applied electrical technology, robotics, electrotechnology and process instrumentation, and electrical theory. In addition to specialised workshops for hands-on training, a number of multi-use theory and practical trade spaces provide a variety of learning experiences for the students within.

Completely accessible for large vehicles and equipment to move throughout the building, the large public spaces can also accommodate exhibitions and events to allow the students and their industry partners to exhibit their work and share their experiences of new technology.

While reflecting the new building’s connection to the rest of the campus through material use and colour, the RAMC will look forward with a contemporary visual language, putting the students at the heart of their learning experience through large expanses of transparent façade linking the outdoor spaces and the indoor learning space.

Located to the north of the site, the RAMC will provide a revitalised focus for the campus, as a beacon of new investment in learning and technology and a celebration of the future focus on the exciting possibilities of emerging sustainable technologies.
