The William Angliss Institute is a leading provider of foods, tourism, hospitality and events education training and industry services, offered to industry and students locally, nationally and internationally. Gray Puksand has recently delivered their new Sydney Campus located in Alexandria, known for its creative edge and surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants. The new modern campus and state-of-the-art facilities including a super kitchen for training, a large training restaurant with patisserie kitchen and balcony dining, a bright street front café full training bar, a dynamic mix of formal and informal learning spaces, and a series of relaxed student break-out spaces.
As the Victorian based multinationals first purpose-built facility in NSW, Gray Puksand’s aim was to reflect the true brand of The William Angliss Institute, drawing inspiration from the diverse and energetic nature of the hospitality industry. The facility maps out a journey of dynamic angles and vibrant colour set against textural, natural material and an urban edge that responds to the facilities surrounds. With flexibility and innovation at the core of the Sydney Campus, each space is designed to facilitate multiple activities, including the student breakout that also operates as a demonstration kitchen for star chef run masterclasses and a Super kitchen that allows multiple practical classes to operate at the same time in several configurations.
The project has been received with positivity from The William Angliss Institute, allowing them to adopt a new flexible way of teaching and learning.
