The project scope included enhancements to the lobby entrance, retail spaces, end-of-trip facilities, air conditioning, switchboards, fire systems, and lift lobbies and amenities.
Adaptive reuse and transformation of an existing mid-century building in Melbourne’s CBD, the design respects the building’s original architectural intent, while reactivating the ground plane to create a more engaging and accessible interface with surrounding streetscape. This approach prioritises the conservation of embodied carbon, prolongs the building’s lifecycle, and strengthens its integration within the urban context. In addition to carefully selecting energy efficient lighting and mechanical systems to reduce operational energy demand, our sustainability approach revolves around the thoughtful reimagining of the building itself.

The design revitalises 114 William St by reinforcing its architectural rhythm and defining the tower’s identity. A new canopy and activated ground plane create a welcoming, contemporary entrance, improving the pedestrian experience with better connections to outdoor spaces, more sunlight, and greenery. Internal upgrades include enhanced circulation, amenities, and safe End of Trip (EOT) access, supporting sustainability and user wellbeing.
Interiors adopt a modern classic style—balancing timeless materials and detail with contemporary finishes and flexible layouts. Clean lines, refined textures, and thoughtful lighting evoke sophistication, while spatial planning fosters intuitive movement and adaptable zones. The overall approach delivers an inviting, future-ready environment that elevates daily experience and aligns with modern workplace and wellness standards.
