In our role as Architect of Record, Gray Puksand was a key member of the project team for the proposed full refurbishment of the Langham Melbourne, a 5-star hotel in the Southbank precinct by the Yarra River within Melbourne’s CBD.
Consisting of the complete refurbishment of all bedrooms, executive rooms, suites, ballrooms, conferencing and meeting rooms, Alto events space, the Chuan Spa, the Club Lounge, the Porte Cochere, the Melba Restaurant and Aria Bar.
The work included the creation of a new cocktail bar and lounge within the reconfigured reception and public spaces; a new rooftop bar and terrace to take advantage overlooking the Yarra River; and a new fine-dining Asian restaurant at the top of the building, where uninterrupted views of the city and surrounds could be appreciated.
In collaboration with design teams located in London, Hong Kong and Sydney, Gray Puksand was the principal consultant responsible for the integration, coordination and design to achieve the project’s outcomes and aspirations.
