The Circuit Breaker.
Built on legacy. Designed for resilience. Powered by trust.

After more than 50 years in Richmond, NHP Electrical embarked on a defining next chapter, relocating their head office to Hawthorn East. Partnering with Gray Puksand, the move marked a fundamental shift for the business, bringing together teams previously dispersed across multiple buildings and addressing long standing inequities in the workplace.

Guided by the design narrative The Circuit Breaker, the workplace draws on the role of a circuit breaker in regulating energy, creating spaces that empower people to recharge, refocus and reconnect, supporting both individual productivity and collective collaboration.

Measured moments of NHP’s signature blue are woven into the architecture as markers of shared identity and belonging. Applied as an experiential layer, the colour emerges in spaces of arrival, movement and gathering, from the front of house welcome areas to the staff breakout and the internal staircase.

In these communal settings, the branding becomes a confident connector, reinforcing culture, pride, and familiarity, grounding the architecture in NHP’s values while allowing the broader spatial narrative to breathe.

Configured as a light filled, flexible open plan environment, the workplace supports a variety of working styles and experiences. Customer facing areas showcase NHP products, emphasising the brand’s proudly Australian identity and strong, family oriented culture.

This is more than a workplace. It’s a live circuit of people, ideas and innovation, honouring NHP’s history while powering what comes next.
