Spiire’s cultural values of Excellence, Fun, Creativity and Trust underpins Gray Puksand’s design of their new Melbourne headquarters.

With 290 people across Albury, Bendigo, Canberra, Geelong, Melbourne and Shepparton, Spiire underwent a period of rapid growth which lead the firm to re-evaluate their accommodation in Melbourne and relocate to their new home located over two floors at 414 La Trobe Street Melbourne.

Gray Puksand worked with Spiire to design an environment that allows their people to connect, be inspired and grow as the firm continues to expand. High on their list of must haves was a workspace that represented the business’s core values of Excellence, Fun, Creativity and Trust.

The level six entry is an open activated reception with visibility to the boardroom behind a feature masonry wall, an area for stand-up informal meetings, tea point and storage which is wrapped around the core. The spatial planning across level six and seven is divided into four pockets of workspaces linked by collaborative zones that offer a sense of transparency and privacy at the same time.

In this space and throughout the fitout, the use of tactile materials such as masonary brick, timber and integrated planting are a subtle reference to the work that Spiire does. In response, the level six entry is an open activated reception with visibility to the boardroom behind a feature masonry wall, an area for stand-up informal meetings, tea point and storage which is wrapped around the core.

“Our brief was to create a design around a working culture that is welcoming, inclusive, promoted cross pollination across all business units. Spiire also wanted to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst their staff, particularly the junior staff”
